“Home Grown, Internationally Known” marks the theme of this year’s Orange International Street Fair. For 40 years, Orange County residents and tourists alike have been celebrating this annual tradition in the City of Orange. Mark your calendars for this Labor Day weekend, and head over to Plaza Square Park in the historic downtown district for all of the festivities!
• Who Will Be There
At the Orange International Street Fair, you’ll find plenty of locals, non-locals, and international groups celebrating cultural diversity on every street corner. Over the course of three days, you’ll hear from many entertainers, from Slipjacket British Invasion on the English Street Stage to Latin Lowdown performing on the Mexican Street Stage. Not only will you experience the distinct sounds of diverse musicians, but you’ll also enjoy the exciting foods of 15 different ethnicities!
• What You Can Anticipate
There’s no end to the fun at this thriving street fair. Once you’ve had your fill of food and drinks from any of the 42 local booths in attendance, visit the Handmade Arts and Crafts section that features local artists. If you’re out with the whole family, take the kids to Children’s Street for even more games and entertainment.
• Why You Should Go
The Orange International Street Fair is not only a place to experience food, music, and dance from cultures throughout the world, but also a time to bring the community together. All of the profits that are made at the Street Fair will go to other non-profit charities to benefit the people in our community. Make sure to visit the large section featuring Community Booths to witness the great work put forth by local businesses.
